A Day Out for Scott

Scott is going to start kindergarten tomorrow so we figured it would be nice to take him out for some fun. After all, we owe it to him as we have been preoccupied with Megan for the past 3-4 months. So the day before we got him a proper running shoe (he ran in his rubber shoe last week and instantly got a blister).

First, I took him for a short morning jog near our home. 5 minutes up the hilly road and he's tired. I ended up piggy-backing him. Well at least I needed the exercise more than he did.

In the afternoon, we took him to the nearby arena to ride his bike.

... after a few rounds, Scott ended up doing a lot more running than riding. The speck in the background is mommy throttling along in Scott's bike.

Scott running circles around mommy...

Then, later that evening, we took him to Hao Ping Park (和平公園) for a dip in the kid's pool along with his uncle, aunt and younger cousin - Chen Wei Ting.

He's quite beat by then,...

Guess a full day's worth of activities really works up an appetite.

This is one of the most satisfying sights a parent can ever ask for. Scott finished his bowl of rice, vegetable (spinach, broccoli and carrot), chicken and fish - all by himself. And, in a new personal record time of 18 minutes! It's a miracle.

After his shower, he slept like a puppy.
